Soon as these pictures of the actress appeared while sporting a bikini on the beach, the internet rumor mill began to churn, with speculations ranging from, birth mark to bad plastic surgery.

After the dust had settled, Patricia felt the need to put all the rumors to rest regarding her unsightly belly button, and the answer is...

Patricia Heaton was quoted as saying "My belly button was herniated. Then there was that skin that hung there. It didn't work to suck it in. It wouldn't have mattered if I had done 1,000 sit-ups."

She then went on to say, it was in fact a tummy tuck operation that she had underwent and "would recommend it to anyone."
